Plundering through the Ghost Hunt section at fanfic.net ... the grumpy bear needs a change in scenery... there' s only 2 chapters so far, but damn, it's FANTASTIC, character centric and very much in character and lots of ZING. No ghost story to this fanfic (yet?) but it matters not. Right, if you have not or do not want to be exposed to the sotryline beyond the anime / Vol9 of the manga you won't want to read this. Go here

Crap, they licenced the Ghost Hunt anime (ANN announced yesterday). Not to be released until Fall 2008. oO

So glad been buying the R2 DVDs instead.

And reading the comments to the news on SPR... I shake my head that people WANT to listen to DUBBED anime... although I understand why... I'll never ever agree with the logic. @_@ Anime (and manga) should be appreciated in it's original form.

Okie, I started writing this post last week, I pretty much figured out the anime wasn't even going to get close to... hee he he... and I still have ep23-25 to watch (argh) but I peeked into flipped through manga vol9 (JP which was published Feb 2006) (got in on Monday) last night... so the post as was and with add ons....

Back in Feb I was thinking, wait there has to be some Ghost Hunt LJ comms ... was wondering if the manga is still going or not... found 2 main ones (spr_ghost_hunt and shibuya_pr). When I went to shibuya_pr, the first post I see is long and asking about what happens and then has *HUGE* spoilers, none of it behind an LJ cut... curiosity killed the cat... I kept reading. HOLY... just doesn't cover it. If you're along time Conan fan, it's like watching (can't think of the manga volumes) Ep345 for the fisrt time and then praising Gosho with repeated "We're not worthy!" There's probably even more I don't know but I really didn't want to poke around more after reading it. The novels have been on hiatus for YEARS, the manga is on hold too so there is no "end" yet for GH. More anime I'd love (and let it go it's own way if need be) but well... still waiting for another Fruits Basket series (ie, not likely to happen, but still stay wistfully hopeful).

As usual with 20-20 hindsight it's so much easier to SEE things. The clues are given in Ghost Hunt but if you don't KNOW what looking for, it's pretty hard to recognize them besides a few things that might make you go hmmmm or seem odd.
