Caught up with Shakugan no Shana II this week... Ep8 - 23... end of 23... in the final episode... eh?! Geh, thought would be 25 or 26. DLed raw of 24 and watched late last night. ARGH. Yet another OPEN ended "ending." Wasn't satisfied with it, nope.

One thing that bugged me the most about Shana II was the continual "battle" between Shana and Yoshida for Yuuji... thought it was pretty damn clear who he preferred at the end of the first series.

So here's *hoping* there's another series and not too too far off in the future.

Inu Yasha, Matantei Loki, SDKyo, Get Backers, Fruits Basket, Mirage of Blaze, Meine Liebe, FMP, Black Blood Brothers, Kaleido Star, HXH, Initial D, Karin, Shadow Skill, City Hunter.

Then there's You're Under Arrest Full Throttle which I was excited about, but it's BORING and the character development has gone backwards. *sigh*

Will keep hopes up that the Slayers new series (fall 2008?) won't disappoint. :)

Wasn't on the list of fall anime I wanted to try but in looking for a write up on another show, read the one for this and well, didn't sound like it'd suck and Narita Ken & Hoshi Souichirou were mentioned in the cast... so DLed raw ep1 (some group (geh, except for Eclipse for Shana II I don't recognize any sub group for new shows oO) has posted a sub for it now) other night ... nothing original (headdesk a few times at the cliches) but I had a chuckle... so will be trying out ep2 at least ^^;

26th anniversary of Animedia. New July issue has reader's ranking results of 26 best (all time) anime, male and female characters and mascot characters. Issue contains the 2007 seiyuu data file book too. Blurbs on July and later anime starts covered in the issue too. The summer anime parody comic is another insert. One of the extras is 2 pages of postcards using the images on the pages featuring the top 10 anime in the list.

If you're looking for an uke/seme position guide, definitely get the Hanamachi Monogatari (yaoi game) artbook. Some of the tamer shots in the book are used in the trading card set. Found scans of the cards, here. A certain body part is pixilated in the book, although it doesn't impede the imagination at all ^^;;

Naozumi Takahashi (Bunta in PofT) is on the cover for the new hm3 magazine... I've never gotten one of these issues. Did order this one since Sakurai and Seki Tomokazu and Saiga Mitsuki have coverage. Ouch on price, 1470yen.

Damn every finger joint and my wrists are getting extremely uncomfortable pain wise -____- (thanks to work)

... will keep watching Heroic Age. Lovely Complex will keep watching (it's silly and too many new series are serious/dark/bleak and I need some amusement to detract from the stress). Romeo X Juliet still watching (had no plans to) Ah Willy (Inoue-sama!). Darker Than Black not so sure will keep watching. Unh, other new series debating on still using up HD space until reality gives me more free time (and wonder when the hell that will be >.<).

Couple Heroic Age thoughts:

1) Greek mythology snipets inserted all over including Age being "Heracules" with his tasks and strength and of the Heroic Race ... and someone must be a fan of the Kevin Sorbo series as his male "babysitter" is Ioalus :)

2) If there's going to be fan service, could there be an equal amount for the fangirls too?
The main female crew characters must as well be nude with the uniforms so tight. And have had enough ass shots in said uniform of the main assistant to the princess to last me a lifetime thank-you very much.

Ooh, same cast (I think) as the drama CDs will have for Zombie Loan anime so that means Sakurai and Suwabe and Koyasu and ... ANN entry. Had no idea of story so clicked the manga link ... ara another Shinigami centred tale... Moon Phase only shows 2007 sometime for coming out.

Tried Dancouga Nova episode 1 (Shinsen sub) ... never saw the original series (1985) and it was a HUGE fav of someone I know so thought I'd give it a try. Team mecha (4 components join to make Dan Cougar) show. New one has 2 female, 2 male pilots. Early on meet the blonde male ... ooh, cute ... ooh, voice familiar ... ah!!! NARU! (aka Tai Yuuki) Other male chara not bad either ^^ Fujiwara Keiji (Sven in Black Cat eg) is the commander and the other male (mysterious and get feeling is part of/connected to original series) is by Yao Kazuki (and did play a main chara in original).

( Oh I just might watch ep2. :) )

Also tried out raw episode for a couple March start anime last night ... Moonlight Mile and Reideen.
Reideen didn't get past first couple minutes. Moonlight Mile was ep2, watched the whole thing. Main male character is Goro. Too hard to tell what the storyline was (still very much a let's intro the characters) ... doubt I'll be watching more.

Going through Moon Phase for Feb-May anime new shows since I might not get another chance until April (and I also need to for a "side" job) ... and yiish is about all I can say. Bit of shock ... first time in 11 years I can list on one hand shows I'm going to watch for sure (and neither are new!) oO

Character design is lack lustre, veteran seiyuu seem to be SEVERELY lacking, yaoi fangirls gonna starve, waaaaay too many shows with mecha, couple English title adaptations (Emily of New Moon, Romeo&Juliet), few historical setting ones, one harem ... and yet no shortage of series starting in April ... can't believe some shows ending soon are being replaced with these offerings @_@
