I finally got the bright idea to check AnimeOnDvd for the next Case Closed released and I found only this: Season 1.

I'm getting kind of mad now about how they're handling this. I have episodes 1-4 TWICE on two seperate releases now. I already have episodes 1-26 and to only see this repackage is getting annoying. Because I KNOW there will not be any of the special features like the bloopers on these disks. I loved the bloopers.
Sure they're getting edgy and having the name DETECTIVE CONAN on the cover - but seriously! Is this all that is going to be out this year? What about the episodes after 83? It's been over two years now - It'll be 3 years this december since that last dvd came out 12/20/2005. I want to get to Haibara (or Anita) so that way they feel they can release movie 3 without confusing anyone.

For anime right now - I'd rather spend the money instead on Lucky Star or Death Note or xxxholic. Bleach even >.>
but even then watch I still buy it.

Back to studying for finals.

Rockman X OVA:
When they re-released Rockman X (Megaman X in the US) as 'Rockman Irregular Hunter X', they released an OVA could be unlocked in the game called 'The Day of Sigma', explaining how Sigma went from the leader of the Irregular Hunters and into the Big Bad of the series.
The OVA changed some things in the story line from the original games, but as a non-gamer, it's still nice to see the characters interact with the world a bit more. The English Dub is okay, but the raw Japanese sends me into giggles everytime X uses 'Watashi', was totally expecting him to use 'boku'.
(the Rockman X fandom will always hold a special place in my slasher heart for the fanboys thinking that X and Zero sleeping together before the fangirls got there. That, and in the Japanese, the 'bad guys' are called 'Irregulars', which makes it sound like they have to go to the toilet lots.
Also, when Zero gets his own series, he trades his white briefs for women's panties, bless his little berserker mecha heart.
That reminds me, should finish those fics...)

Rockman.exe, various episodes of the first season
-One of those series I saw in Japan, was excited when it came to the US, only to discover a new name 'Megaman NT Warriors', new names and some of the original jokes removed. Can only find bits and pieces of the five seasons of the show translated. *Shrugs* Standard shonen fare, good for some mindless entertainment. Understand that it gets more serious the farther along it goes.

I kinda wanna do a Rockman X / Astro Boy crossover now, the two robots/reploids/androids griping about having to save humanity, only I get the feeling it should involve booze. Can't quite figure out how to get robots drunk though.

Naruto Shippouden the Movie:
Naruto dies, Flamey boy is bendy, Miko is bitchy, Naruto lives, but is still an idiot.
I'm sorry, was distracted by chat and reading about a the thirteen year old who stole his father's credit card to buy hookers.. Not really impressed by the movie.

Babysat Xan for the evening, (sketch totally related) tried a new pizza place, Hungry Howie's. Every tried ordering a pizza while holding a fussy baby? I don't recommend it.
However, the pizza was good. The crust is -fabulous- and it passed the 'eaten cold as breakfast' test, which is always nice. ^___^

-Saterday-
Bra shopping, see previous post. Ran a bunch of errands, saw a waterballoon roll down the street infront of the car, got new shirts, watched the latest Naruto Movie, crashed over at Megs' house.

-Sunday-
OMG. Sunday. Went downtown with Megs to see if the Silver Sea was open, which it wasn't, but picked up shiny earrings and a necklace at Hydra next door. Bruise-green roses on black metal. Mwhahahahaha. Picked up some other stuff, including a couple of Nazar, which I seem to be collecting.
Had lunch for the first time at The Casbah Teahouse. Mmmmmm.... Middle Eastern atmosphere, vegetarian food and WONDERFUL Chai Tea. Lots of nummy ginger in it. *drooooooools* Em, when you come out, will have to drag you there. Freak gust of wind nearly blowing the canopy away was fun too.
Went with Megs to the plant and got a tour of the newspaper printing presses. I love those giant presses, worked for a short time at a place in NZ that printed magazines and they had them there. Sooo frikkin' cool.
Did a lot of walking around (think I did about 7-10 miles yesterday, nice to know I still can)

... Unfortunately, mis-read the bus schedule, which I thought had said the last bus left at 9:15. Nope. I had caught the last bus to the Safehouse, and then discovered I was kinda stranded. Whoops.
Fortunately! Was within walking distance of both MOrgan-obachan and Megs' house. They ended up deciding that they'd take a chainsaw and decide which boob each one got. Megs' wanted the smaller one cause it would make a better cat toy. o_O
-Ended up crashing at MOrgan's house last night, since she was just back from LepreCon.

Am very amused that in my backpack, it has become standard fare for me to carry in addition to deodorant, a toothbrush and paste, hair brush, shaving razor and clean underwear, just in case I do end up crashing some place overnight. #^^# Saves gas.

I think it was a little after 6AM by the time I finished the last of the garter stitch border and had casting off left. ^^; I'll admit I don't mind meeting 6AM from that end of the clock cycle, but... >.<;; Somehow, I don't think it wise to meet 6AM in that fashion. ^^;

Vampire Knight continues to hold my interest. To the point where I'm trying to hunt down the manga and novel. ^o^ No idea how much we'll be able to get right away from Iwase compared to whatever I might have to order from Japan. Unfortunately, the novel seems to be out of stock at the moment and waiting for a second print run. *sigh*

WTF... I just skimmed viewed the latest Bleach episode. Are they seriously doing filler?  The way they're arranging it lately, manga and anime is annoying me. Can we please get on with the story? *I'm too lazy to seriously go back and look at everything that happened that I don't know about.* *I know what? Aizen had his resurrection? Wants to destroy earth? I don't care* I want more Ichigo and Orihime dang it. I might skip most of this...

Anyway - I'm catching up on my anime series. Off to watch 20 Faces now. Then Zettai. Then eventually study for finals and whatnot.

Edit: Say good-bye to high chances of anymore anime live-action english movies after Speed getting about 20 million in theaters this weekend >.> Sure the in the works Akira adapation might rock - after all Transformers came out good - maybe we should just stop aiming for PG ratings?

Yesterday was fun~!!! Went to karaoke. My friend brought a cake!!! We were like celebrating for three people rather than one ^.^

The medleys for J-pop/JE were loooong! Well, I only did KAT-TUN's, Tackey & Tsubasa's, NEWS', and Kanjani8's. They included the first non-chorus part for some songs. My friend put in the medleys for Sailor Moon and Rurouni Kenshin. I was surprised about the songs that I remembered and didn't remember..

They had the PV for Tackey & Tsubasa's SAMURAI. I didn't feel like singing the song but I wanted to watch the PV again XD I sang Hoshi wo Mezashite, weeeek and Taiyou no Namida. I shouted, "YamaPi! YamaPi! The cups! The cups!" instead of singing some parts of the song XD

We put in Lucky Star's opening song...even though we can't sing half of it XD Those parts were too fast...

Stupid construction that caused me to get home longer than expected >.< I could have taken the bus instead, but I wasn't feeling well (gotten better than on Friday though) and tired. I slept throughout the entire train ride..

Third entry in the same day. Woo hoo! Well, we don't have a problem with translators for Vampire Knight. This post is just because I was too lazy/forgetful to update our LJ. Come to think of it, I updated the kyou_kara_maou community without even updating our own LJ. At any rate, here are the wonderful stuffs for Vampire Knight!

Since updates were lagging (I'm lazy and I forget to update the LJ), here are episodes 82-83 of Kyou Kara Maou. I think Kira, the translator (different from Kira the graphics artist), is busy with real life stuff. I haven't been in contact with the editor nil_nova much, who probably knows what Kira's up to.

That being said, episode 84 should be out today, or tomorrow. Well, I have no translations yet, but I can usually get the episode out the day I get translations.

Yesterday, I received the wonderful little Zero-Sum magazine. I wasn't expecting much, so when I opened the back to check the table of contents, I was surprised to see Loveless there! So I rushed off to scan and clean it up, and then Sonic_Sabbath came on and offered to translate, even though Loveless is shounen-ai.

All in all, it took 6 hours for the whole process, which is pretty dark quick compared to our Loveless releases. I really enjoy having dedicated translators. <3 I'm still getting used to that, and getting over the shock of same-day releases. Heheh.

In other news, silver_vixi has been made the new co-admin of shokudan I'm not sure whether or not that removes kansanjapan, or rather Touyuki, from the position of co-admin. But since she's decided to drop off the face of the earth, I guess it does mean that. I was genuinely concerned about her -- until I found out she's been updating her online blogs daily. All filled with good news. Well, she's going on her foreign exchange trip to Japan soon, so she'd have to retire for a while anyway. If she does come back on before then, if at all, then she can probably share the job with Vixi.

At any rate, I'm really proud with our releases of Kyou Kara Maou and Vampire Knight. We're speedy and -- according to our fans -- pretty darn accurate in our translations. We did get a HQ encoder to fix the crappiness of the LQ video quality releases though. With our current staff setup, we're well-balanced and can handle all of our jobs!

Due to the content of scans and scanlations of Loveless, this post will be friend-locked in approximately one week.

I have a DVD empire....

I picked up Tokyo Majin vol 2 w/ artbox, BBB vol 2, Monochrome Factor vol 2 (manga), and an EXIA figure, so that Kyrios won't be lonely anymore, yesterday from Neo Tokyo.

Today I set out on the search to figure out which album of Seether's that Rise Above This was on. Found it, d/led it. Yes that's right I d/led it, but wait it gets better. Then looked at futureshop to see how much it was, $16.99, but then decided to look at bestbuy.ca, but figured it would be the same price like it usually is, but it was only $11.99. Also looked up Jericho while i was on the site, and it was listed as $37.99, which is in fact lots cheaper than $59.99 that i keep seeing it as. So i go there and look and look and see no sign of Jericho in te TV Shows section, and then turn around and my mom's missing. So i look for her, and find her at another section where there are also TV Show boxsets, and she has Jericho in her hands. *pounce* ^___^ And then i look around that wall and find such cheap ass prices. @_@
